The Kimberley hotel, on the corner of Roeland and Buitekant street, has been restored . This Cape Town landmark was built in 1895, and was the starting point for horse-drawn carriages leaving Cape Town for Kimberley. The hotel boasts a conference centre for up to 60 delegates, a coffee shop and the famous 100 year Pub with the original decor still in place. Guests can quench their thirst admiring Table Mountain, or take a two-minute walk to the District Six Museum. Being on the edge of the city, it is only a five minute walk to Parliament and the Cape Castle, and a further 30 minutes to the famous Cableway. We have now restored the building to its original splendour offering a yesteryear experience with todays conveniences. The hotel offers 11 recently refurbished bedrooms, as well as Barnatos restaurant, which offers relaxed classical dining .This Hotel is enjoyed by those who appreciate the historical archecture combined with a vibrant modern atmosphere.
